Looking back at our preliminary task we can see that we have made massive improvements in or editing skills. One aspect in particular which quality has improved was our match cuts. In our 1st task our match cuts were very fast and did not particularly 'match'. They jerked and went too quick - giving a 'blur' as the end result. However, by looking at several match cuts in our final movies you can tell that we have learnt many new skills and have enhanced our technique. Our new match cuts are very precise, for example the character turns the page at the right spot just as we chose a different camera angle to show this, allowing it to flow easily. The easy flow made it easier to watch and gave quality to the film. The issues we encountered with our match cuts in the preliminary task was that we did not have enough clips to choose from and the ones we did have was not of a good enough quality. This proved to us that we had to take more shots and many angles and camera positions for our final film in order for us to experiement and produce match cuts of a good standard.
